Brass Electrical Screws M3.5 50–75mm — Socket & Switch
Why choose these brass electrical screws
Polished brass M3.5 machine screws, finished to match antique brass, polished brass and satin brass accessories. A zinc-plated screw head against a brass plate is the detail that gives away a rushed job — these disappear into the plate instead. Threads are precision-rolled to fit standard back-box lugs without binding or stripping.
Lengths available
- 50mm — the usual choice for 25mm back boxes with a brass plate, and for recessed boxes and architrave switches.
- 75mm — dry-lining boxes and thicker plasterboard installations.
Brass is stocked in 50mm and 75mm only. If you need 35mm or 40mm, our zinc, polished chrome and black nickel ranges cover the full 35–75mm span. A 50mm screw can also be shortened with a hacksaw and the cut end cleaned up with a file — cut from the threaded end, not the head.
Pack options
Packs of 10 for a single room, 20 for a whole-house rewire, or 50 for trade use. Choose length and quantity together from the one selector.
How to fit
Terminate the cables, fold the conductors neatly into the back box, and offer the plate up to the lugs. Start each screw by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten gently with a flat-blade screwdriver — stop as soon as the plate sits flush. Brass is softer than steel, so do not over-tighten or the slot will burr.
