Standard zinc-plated screws look out of place against polished metal accessories. These M3.5 machine screws are finished in a bright chrome plating that matches polished chrome and stainless-steel plates from all major UK manufacturers, giving a clean and consistent finished look. The threads are precision-rolled to fit standard back-box lugs without binding or stripping.

Typical uses

Single and double sockets, light switches, dimmer switches, fused spurs, cooker switches, blank plates, USB sockets and shaver sockets in polished chrome, satin chrome or stainless-steel finishes. Compatible with all UK standard 25mm and 35mm back boxes.

How to fit

Strip and terminate the cables in the accessory’s terminals, fold the conductors neatly into the back box, and offer the plate up to the lugs. Start each screw by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten gently with a flat-blade screwdriver — stop as soon as the plate sits flush. Do not over-tighten, as this can mark the chrome finish.
