U-Bolt Wire Rope Clamp 2–5mm — A4 316 Marine Stainless

Heavy-duty A4 stainless steel wire rope clamps (also called bulldog grips or U-bolt cable clamps) — used in pairs or sets to form a strong, secure eye termination on wire rope and cable. The U-bolt threads through a saddle plate that grips the rope between two nuts.

Sizes available

Four sizes to match common small-diameter wire ropes: 2mm, 3mm, 4mm and 5mm. Choose the size that matches your wire rope diameter exactly — never substitute a clamp size.

How to fit

Fold the rope back on itself (ideally over a thimble) and slide the U-bolt over the dead-end side of the rope so the saddle plate bears on the live (load-bearing) side — “never saddle a dead horse.” Tighten both nuts evenly. For most applications use at least two clamps spaced six rope diameters apart.
