Pan head machine screws with a Pozidriv recess — the modern general-purpose machine screw for almost any threaded fastening. The Pozi drive grips the bit far better than a slotted or Phillips head, so the bit is much less likely to cam out under torque. A2 stainless steel handles interior, workshop and light outdoor use without rusting, and the low rounded pan head sits cleanly against the workpiece.

How to fit

Use a Pozidriv bit of the correct size — typically PZ1 for M3, PZ2 for M4 and M5, PZ3 for M6 — and engage it fully into the head before applying torque. Tighten against a matching nut held with a spanner, or directly into a threaded insert. Pozi bits look similar to Phillips but have additional cross ribs; using a Phillips bit will round the recess.
