Flange Nyloc Nuts M5–M10 — Zinc-Plated Grade 8.8 DIN 6926
Why choose these Flange Nyloc Nuts
Our Flange Nyloc Nuts combine three locking and load-spreading features in a single nut: a Grade 8.8 high-tensile steel body, an integral serrated flange that replaces a separate washer and bites into the joint surface, and a nylon insert that grips the bolt thread to resist vibration loosening. Manufactured to DIN 6926 with a bright zinc-plated finish for everyday corrosion protection — ideal for automotive, agricultural and general engineering use where joints see vibration and shock loads.
Sizes available
- M5 / 5mm — light brackets, panels and trim
- M6 / 6mm — handrails, signage and general fabrication
- M8 / 8mm — automotive, trailer and machinery fixings
- M10 / 10mm — structural and heavy-duty applications
Pack options
Available in packs of 10 for repairs and small projects or packs of 20 for larger installs and trade use. Each nut is inspected before packing.
Typical uses
- Automotive, motorcycle and trailer assembly — engines, suspension and chassis fixings
- Agricultural and groundscare machinery where vibration is constant
- General engineering and fabrication where a washer-and-locknut combination would be slower to fit
- Brackets, panels and enclosures in workshops, garages and outbuildings
How to fit
Place the nut onto a standard metric bolt or stud with the flanged, serrated face against the work surface. Tighten with a hex spanner or socket — the bolt thread will cut into the nylon insert as it engages, producing the locking action. For best results use a clean, undamaged bolt thread; nyloc nuts are designed to be installed and removed only a limited number of times before the locking action weakens.
