Slotted Cheese Head Screws M3–M6 — A2 Stainless DIN 84
Why choose these A2 slotted cheese head screws
Slotted cheese head machine screws — the traditional flat-blade-driven fastener with a parallel-sided cylindrical head. The cheese head sits proud of the workpiece with clean machined sides, giving a period-correct look that suits restoration, instrument work and architectural detail. A2 stainless steel handles interior, workshop and light outdoor use without rusting, while the slotted drive lets you use any flat-blade screwdriver.
Sizes available
Four bolt diameters — M3, M4, M5 and M6 — across twelve length options from 10mm up to 100mm. DIN 84 specifies the exact head proportions for a consistent appearance across all sizes.
Pack option
Supplied in packs of 20 per size. Pair with matching A2 hex nuts, dome nuts and washers from the Fasteners range; mix sizes in one checkout to qualify for free UK delivery on orders over £20.
Typical uses
Restoration projects, antique furniture and clock repair, instrument and tool cases, model engineering, electrical terminations and earth bonding (slotted heads are still standard for many traditional electrical fittings), name plates and signage where the slot drive gives an authentic look.
How to fit
Drive with a flat-blade screwdriver that fully fills the slot — a worn or undersized tip will mar the head and round the slot. Pass the screw through a clearance hole, run a matching nut down by hand and tighten gently. Avoid over-torquing M3 and M4 — A2 stainless is softer than carbon steel.
Delivery
Same-day dispatch on orders placed before 2pm — free UK delivery on orders over £20.
