Solid Brass Wood Screws M3–M5 — Round Raised Slotted Head
Why choose these solid brass round-head wood screws
Traditional round raised head slotted wood screws in solid brass — the period-correct fastener for restoration, antique furniture, marine joinery and decorative metalwork. The raised dome head sits proud of the workpiece with a clean polished profile and a single slot for a flat-blade screwdriver. Solid brass is naturally corrosion-resistant, non-magnetic and ages to a warm patina rather than rusting.
Sizes available
Four diameters — M3, M3.5, M4 and M5 — across eight length options from 12mm up to 60mm. Choose a length that lets the threaded portion engage fully into the second piece of timber for a strong joint.
Pack option
Supplied in packs of 10 per size. Mix sizes across the Fasteners range in one checkout to qualify for free UK delivery on orders over £20.
Typical uses
Antique and period furniture repair, marine cabin joinery and trim, brass hinges, hasps and lock fittings, sash window furniture, lamp and lighting builds, instrument cases, model-making, decorative wall fixtures and any timber joint where bright brass slotted screws give the authentic look.
How to fit
Always pilot-drill softwood and hardwood before driving brass screws — the soft brass head and shank can shear if the wood resists rotation. Use a flat-blade screwdriver that fully fills the slot; a worn or undersized tip will mar the head. For hardwood, a steel “lead screw” of the same size can be driven first to cut the thread, then withdrawn and replaced with the brass screw.
