Why choose these 7-8mm spindle sleeves

Worn or undersized spindles cause sloppy, rattling door handles. These plastic sleeve shims slip over a smaller spindle to convert it up to 8mm, restoring a snug fit inside the handle hub and removing the side-to-side play that causes the door to refuse to latch. A simple, low-cost fix that’s far cheaper than replacing the whole handle.

Typical uses

How to fit

Slide the sleeve over the existing spindle so it sits inside the handle hub. Refit the handle, check the latch operates smoothly and tighten the grub screws on the flat of the spindle. Trim the sleeve to length with a sharp knife if it protrudes past the hub.
